New Trail Closures

We have been informed by Canfor that the road and landings below Shapeshifter Trail may become active as early as Monday, January 25th which means logging equipment will be operating in the area. In response we have now closed Hoodoo View Trail, additional sections of Shapeshifter Trail and Jimmy Russell Road and part of South West Passage (see map below).

Volunteers were out on Saturday putting up signs and ribbons on the affected trail sections. Access to the South West Passage Viewpoint is still possible via Duck Pond Trail and Skid Road but the popular loop back down Jimmy Russell will not be useable to the loggers pull out. Please respect the trail closures and keep an eye on the KNPS Facebook page for any updates.

Hoodoo View Trail and the east end of Shapeshifter are now closed.

All of Jimmy Russell Road above the junction with Duck Pond Trail is now closed.

We have closed the west end of South West Passage at the turnout to the viewpoint.
