New Nature Park Trail Guide

After many months of hard work and numerous revisions, we are excited to announce that the new, fifth edition Kimberley Nature Park Trail Guide is now available for purchase at outlets around Kimberley. Sporting a new look with a fantastic cover image by local wildlife photographer Larry Tooze, the guide is an essential companion for anyone using the park trail system.

The new guide includes an updated map showing a number of trails constructed or renovated over the last several years including Tora Bora Ridge, Trickledown Trail and Southwest Passage. The overall look and feel has been simplified with a cleaner, less-cluttered approach, and some the background information on the previous edition has been transferred to the new KNP website.

The new map is cleaner and includes new trails like Tora Bora Ridge and Trickledown Trail.

The guide was funded by generous grants from the Columbia Basin Trust, Kootenay Savings Community Foundation and Kimberley Alpine Resort Summit Fund. Big Magic Design worked closely with the KNPS on the design and layout, and Rocky Mountain Office Solutions did the printing. The KNPS would like to thank the members of our Trail Guide Design Committee, Rod Chapman, Cliff Erven, Frank O'Grady and Kent Goodwin, for all the hours they put into this project.

The guide is available for $5 at a number of local businesses and the Tourism Kimberley Visitor Centre (see outlet list below). Sales of the guide are an important part of the Kimberley Nature Park Society's fund-raising efforts – proceeds help pay for the maintenance of trails and signs as well as other park programs.
