Repairs to the Army Road/Creek Trail Culvert

This year, the La Nina winter and spring, brought high water and flooding to various parts of the Park. The water rushing down the creek at the Creek Trail/Army Road intersection washed away a good portion of the fill around the culvert and halved the width of the road. In October, Dave Chorneyko, Gabe Sanche and Kent Goodwin took three truckloads of rock and a wheelbarrow in and rebuilt the road. The culvert is now armoured with rock and we look forward to next spring's runoff to see how well it stands up.
