Chainsaw Training
On April 16th and 17th members of the KNPS and the Kimberley Trails Society took part in a chainsaw training workshop. The course was arranged by Lisa Cox of Recreation Sites and Trails BC, taught by Mikael Jonson and was designed to teach our volunteers how to safely remove downed trees from the Park trails. The course was held in the park on the edge of the old gravel pit near the Swan Ave. entrance. Participants were very pleased with the quality of the instruction and the material covered and will be putting their skills to work on the trails in and around the Park in the coming months.
